Letter from the ship's officers to Commander Thomas H. Stevens, on the occasion of his detachment as her Commanding Officer. Dated 10 September 1862, at Newport News, Virginia, it is signed by Lieutenant Samuel D. Greene, Acting Volunteer Lieutenant William Flye, Acting Master Louis N. Stodder, Acting Assistant Paymaster William F. Keeler and Acting Assistant Surgeon Daniel C. Logue.
