Reverse side of a letter from the ship's officers to Commander Thomas H. Stevens, on the occasion of his detachment as her Commanding Officer. Dated 10 September 1862, at Newport News, Virginia, this side is signed by Second Assistant Engineer Albert B. Campbell, Third Assistant Engineer George H. White, Third Assistant Engineer Robinson W. Hands, Third Assistant Engineer Mark T. Sunstrom and Acting Master's Mate George Frederickson.
