Re: [nafex] Plant tags

Mike
I have been experimenting with the Brother hand held "P-touch" Home and
hobby III. It uses a 3/8 or 1/2 inch wide Metal tape. I have put them on
grafts that I made last year. I also made 2 and put them in the shower. The
ones that have been in the shower are still staying, and have not faded. But
the ones I put outside still sticking but looking a little faded. I will
have to wait till fall to fully evaluate them. I make them a little longer
than the name so that I can wrap them around the branch and fold over on to
itself. The small unit was purchased at Office Max. I think I paid $24 for
the unit. There are some keypad types that use a metal material and emboss
the letters.

As a small commercial antique apple tree grower/wholesaler I need a
plant tag that I can customize for some of my customers. Right now I
have an order for a hundred trees that if we can properly tag them
should generate added sales this fall and next year. We have computer
capability with photoshop but cannot find a product upon which to put
our material. I'm looking for a waterproof double sided printable
tag. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike
