Not sure what you mean by residual FDA. FDA hydrolysis is a measure of
esterase activity. Both bacteria and fungi produce esterases. There are
thousands of kinds of esterases. So, just a measure of FDA hydrolysis isn't
going to tell you whether it was fungi or bacteria that made those enzymes.

Or maybe you are thinking of something else and I'm missing the point? Help
me out if I am.....
