So, when Monsanto attempts to patent these bacteria, fungi, protozoa or
nematodes, we have to be there saying "we already have them in culture; we
have already worked with them, previous use disallows the patent".

We're already encountering this "claim it as mine" attitude with respect to
compost tea. There's someone trying to patent the general approach to making
aerobic compost tea - can you believe it? It's only been around for oh, 2000
years, and someone is trying to patent it's production!

Please join me in sending all the literature older than January of 2001 about
aerobic compost tea to the patent office, so they know about the fact that
aerobic compost tea has been around for more than the last year or two. If
you know any good patent lawyers who would take this on, please let me know!
