hi Dan

If I understand the way this might work (yes Do I or is that a
delusion), If the plant is healthy it produces exudates when under
stress it still produces exudates that may attract "the wrong"
predators. The ACT foliar application is there to consume (any
exudates) and hopefully displace the "the wrong" predators on those leaf surfaces, so the plant is feeding them if it is healthy via it's exudates a "normal" biological cycle.
