The best results can be seen when trying to rejuvenate wastelands.

I'll bet that most organic gardens already have a decent mycorrhizal
spore population, thus no need to add any.

Since most organic gardeners do fertilize, unless Phosphorous levels
are very low, the mycorrhizal fungi will be killed, resulting in
wasted time, money and expectations.

Two fruiting plants that are known to benefit in their establishment
from a symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal fungi are Lychee and
the American Pawpaw trees.
