Volunteers in MN needed

Harvest Moon Community Farm, a non-profit organization located in
Scandia, Minnesota, (about 40 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis &
St. Paul) will be starting a farm school this summer, and is in search
of volunteers to fill several unpaid opportunities (teaching assistants,
public relations/communications intern, web site designer, development
consultant, and development assistant).

The farm school will provide an opportunity for 3-11 years olds to learn
about rural life, farm animals, nature, organic gardening, crafts,
music, and down-to-earth skills. Some activities will include:
planting and harvesting vegetables, herbs, and flowers; feeding and
caring for animals; gathering eggs; preserving and enhancing wildlife
habitats; making herbal soap and candles; cooking food in a kitchen and
over an open fire; developing a greater understanding, respect, and care
for our environment; and developing skills in tie dying, painting,
drawing, printmaking, and quilting.

difference in the lives of children this summer, then please review the
following positions, and apply for the one that interests you the most:

modifications to site as needed. Prior experience in web site

April for a May 1st web site launch. Ongoing work would require about
10 hours per month.

monthly newsletter, and assist with web site development and
maintenance. Intern would work between 8-10 hours per week for one or
two days (Monday-Thursday).
