enough already

Let's all get back to the topic of CSAs. There are lists out there for
alternative healing and I suggest they be used.
Several benevolent souls have now contributed any number of USDA reports
saying unrefrigerated garlic in oil is a no-no and I personally wrote to
our current herbal enthusiast about my own experience getting ill with
non-commercial, unrefrigerated garlic preserved in oil. Why is this so hard
to comprehend?

Garlic may have inherent antimicrobial properties. So do thyme and a host
of other plants. Big deal. Our bodies have antibodies, but that doesn't
keep us from getting ill. Fact is fact. Garlic grows in the ground and is
exposed to a range of anerobic bacteria. When it is placed in oil, anerobic
conditions persist and the potential for botulism exists.

Why is it so implausible that Dr. Richard Schulze could have made a
mistake? Last time I checked, infallibility wasn't necessary for getting a
medical license, nor was graduating anywhere close to the top of your
class, nor caring about the people you treat. As far as I know, the only
human who has been deemed incapable of making mistakes is the pope and
there are several million RCs out there who have a bone to pick with that.
Can't we please get back to talking about CSAs, for instance, does anyone
out there have any experience converting a consumer started/driven CSA into
a farmer driven CSA?
