Berseem clover

We are considering berseem clover as an annual hay crop in a transition
to organic circle next year. In assessing the plan we are unsure of the
risks which may be associated with bird feeding damage (mainly ducks and
Canadian geese). Because the land is within a national wildlife refuge
we are not permitted to use bird scaring systems. The crop would be sown
in early spring when bird populations are still high. Does anyone have
knowledge of the susceptibility of berseem clover to bird feeding damage
in the early stages of growth.
Would appreciate any leads.
Thanks
