I think I qualify as a convert, too :). I'm going from keeping out a few seeds from certain exceptional produce I've found to becoming a "seedsavin' fool" :). I've always been a rabid accumulator of Heirloom veggie seed though- I have very few hybrids of anything.
Here's one for the books- My Mother is also a seedsaver and I never realized it until recently! Four o' Clocks, tomatoes, citrus, avocados, she sprouts everything that comes across her kitchen. I had just never thought of her as a seedsaver because she doesn't talk about it, she just *does* it.
Don't get me wrong, my Mom and I are really very close, but I guess she didn't think I would be interested, or maybe like so many talented folks, she just does it and doesn't think anything of it.. I just happened recently to put together the fact that she saved and planted everything.
Mom grows more fruits and flowers, and I have always been more into veggies..
How cool.. The more the merrier, say I :)!
Linda :)
