Hi Carolinabirders,
Paul Rogers and I birded at Huntington Beach S.P., Murrells Inlet,
Georgetown, County SC today. We id'd 45 species while doing a circut of
Mullet Pond and going to the noth parking lot for a peak into Sandpiper
Pond and also a peak into the marsh on the crabbers dock.
Birds of interest were
Osprey-at least two
Green-winged Teal-a pair
Blue-winged Teal-a pair
Gadwall-9
Hooded Merganser-27
Sharp-shinned Hawk-1 immature
Sora-a good long look
Greater Yellowlegs-3
Lesser yellowlegs-1
Western Sandpiper-27 still in non-breading plumage
Forster's Tern-3 still in non-breeding plumage
Tree Swallow-30
Cedar Waxwing-12 feeding on Privet berries
Good birding, good company
