Hi y'all,
Took a cpl hours this morning to check out New Rd., Bucksport Sod Farm
(12 mi. south of Conway) and Port Harrelson (a cpl miles upriver from
Bucksport.) Saw and heard numerous Black-and-white Warblers on New Rd.,
along with Parulas, Yellow-rumped, Yellow-throated, Pine, Prairie and Common
Yellowthroat. Also several Red-eyed, White-eyed and a cpl of Blue-headed
vireos. Lots of swallows; Tree, Rough-winged and Barn. Found 8 Cattle Egrets
alongside Hwy 701 south of Conway.
No shorebirds at Bucksport, but an Eastern Kingbird and 6 Am. Kestrel
keeping an eye on a newly stripped sod area.
Port Harrelson had a flock of Purple Martins over the river, several B&W
warblers, and the cool bird of the day, an Ovenbird singing about 3 ft.
above the ground from a scrubby little oak.
Got home and found vocal Red-eyed and Blue-headed vireos in a Laurel
Oak.
    Odyssey update: 192.

Cheers,
Gary
