Beidler Forest

Our signature Prothonotary Warblers returned to the swamp over the weekend.
We are awaiting the Swainson's and Kentucky Warblers. I heard the first
Yellow-throated Vireo of the season. The Yellow-crowned Night Herons are
already building nests. Spring in the swamp happens very gradually...one
bird species at a time returns...and every shade of green is present. The
Atamasco lilies are in bloom along with native azalea and butterweed and
dogwood. The water level is up after two very dry years....so-o-o-o
beautiful!!

On another note, I will be visiting my parents in Anderson this weekend.
Where would be the closest place to watch for migrants?
