Hi folks,
Today was a banner day for migrants here at the Savannah River Station in
New Ellenton, SC. I started off with 5 OVENBIRDS singing on territories used
last year and found several more throughout the day. I had a RED-EYED
VIREO, SUMMER TANAGER (heard only), AMERICAN REDSTART (heard only), KENTUCKY
and HOODED Warblers and several HOUSE WRENS. TITMICE and PINE WARBLERS were
either on eggs or making nests and BACHMAN'S SPARROWS are well under way.
Last night I had a WHIP POOR WILL.
Cheers
Paul Champlin
New Ellenton, SC
