Re: Eggshells

I save eggshells year round. I keep a plastic cup on my kitchen windowsill,
and as I use an egg, I rinse the shell and drop it into the cup. I continue
to mash down the shells to make more room, and when the container is as full
as it can be, I put them in a ziplock type freezer bag and throw them in the
freezer until spring. I have three good size bags now, and not only will I
sprinkle them out for the birds, but will also use them around my hostas to
help deter the slugs who do not like the sharp edges of the shells.
