Sibley visit summary - update

Just to summarize and update what has already been posted before:

AUTHOR/ARTIST DAVID SIBLEY VISITS NC

David Sibley, renowned young artist and author of the recent publication,
National Audubon Society ~ The Sibley Guide to Birds, will be making a
series of stops in North Carolina in early May. For those who don't know
already, Sibley has spent years researching and illustrating this book. His
nuanced drawings and notes raise the art of bird identification and
appreciation to new levels.

Friday, May 4

Southern Pines: Sibley will make a brief appearance at the Carolina Bird
Club's (www.carolinabirdclub.org) spring meeting in Southern Pines. He will
be at Weymouth Woods State Nature Preserve signing books from 3-5 pm.
Contact Susan Campbell [phone (910) 949-3207 or email ncaves@utinet.net].

Fearrington Village/Chapel Hill: Join Sibley at McIntyre's Fine Books
(919-542-3030) for a presentation and book signing at 7 pm. Audubon North
Carolina Executive Director Chris Canfield will introduce Sibley.
Fearrington Village is about 6 miles south of Chapel Hill on Hwy 15-501
(towards Pittsboro). Turn into the Village when you see the black-and-white
"belted" cows and the silo. Take the first right into the shopping area and
look for the bookstore.

Saturday, May 5

Durham: Sibley will be at Regulator Bookshop (919-286-2700) at 1 pm for a
lecture and signing. Naturalist, author, and Audubon North Carolina board
member Phil Manning will introduce Sibley. Regulator is at 720 9th Street
in Durham, near Duke's east campus. There is the possibility of a short
bird walk afterward.
