Pea Island shorebirds



No Curlew SP, but plenty of other shorebirds at PINWR this weekend.  The
salt flats held the following in various numbers:

Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Spotted Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Western Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
WILSON'S PHALAROPE
Willet
Stilt Sandpiper
Short-billed Dowitcher
Dunlin
Avocet
Black-necked Stilt
Semipalmated Plover
Black-bellied Plover

...and North Pond added Marbled Godwit.

According to the log sheet at the visitor center the last sighting of the
Curlew was on the 8th.
