This 2 day workshop is designed for natural resource professionals and
birders who would like to learn the basics of capturing birds in mist nets
and the banding process. Participants will learn how to set up and take down
nets, observe bird extractions from nets, how to handle birds safely and how
to process birds before release. Banding ethics and other protocols will be
discussed. This class will aid the serious participant for the fast-paced 7
day class to be offered in spring 2002.
