White Pelican/Western Grebe Still Present Today (Monday) - Fall's Lake, NC

This morning, both the White Pelican and Western Grebe were still present at
the same locations as yesterday.
A scope is definitely necessary to get good looks at the grebe --- it seemed
to be favoring the Sandling Beach side of the lake.

5 Horned Grebes were also in the same area as the Western, giving great
comparisons to the Western.

The pelican is being seen on island mudflats north of the I-85 bridge over
Fall's Lake, and the grebe is being seen east of the beach area at Rolling
View Recreational Area. Sandling Beach looks like it would probably afford
much better views of the grebe in the morning hours, however Sandling is
closed for construction.

Rolling View opens at 8am.
