Just as an aside to robin carters posting on the above birding
location, just a little further north of the entrance to Brattonsville
is a new wildlife management ares called draper's wma, This
location also has a couple of ponds and extensive planted areas devoted
to habitat and feed for doves and bobwhite. On a visit early this past
fall there were large sunflower fieds and bobwhite were calling
extensively, certainly a plus for this declining species.
I have only been there three times so far but expect the birds are about
the same as brattonsville. There are still extensive farms along his
road so I expect anything could turn up during migration. Dave
