Mike Shultz and I spent about an hour this morning (8:15 to 9:15) looking
for the Snowy Owl, but with no luck. We drove slowly through the
residential area checking housetops, power poles, etc. We then walked
along the jogging trail under the radio towers and along Bolin Creek.
The only raptors we saw were the plastic Peregrine Falcons in Eastgate
Shopping Center. The Bolin Creek area looks like good Barred Owl
habitat. But a wandering Snowy Owl could show up just about anywhere.
