Pine Siskins

Greetings to all,

Quite an influx of Pine Siskins arrived yesterday to our yard in our
upper-coastal plain swamp-edge site. They immediately replaced the Am.
Goldfinches at the thistle feeders. More thistle feeders were hung. Our
friend in Sumter still has her wintering Baltimore Orioles in numbers, as
she does every winter. It is fascinating watching all the activity at her
feeders! Brown-headed Nuthatches are included in the diversity.
We had a nice influx of Red-breasted Nuthatches in the fall, but no more.

Have a good week.
