Hi y'all,
Cruised around Horry Cty., SC today. Nothing spectacular, but a
beautiful day with a few cool birds. Best stuff included:
N. Harrier - ad. male cruising fields alongside road to Port Harrelson.
Beautimous.
Horned Lark - west of Conway on Hardwick Rd. off of US 501
Am. Pipit - ~50 being very wary of the Harrier
White-eyed Vireo - singing at Bucksport, finally got a look
Yellow-throated Warbler - one singing along the road to Port Harrelson
E. Meadowlark - many about
Am. Robin - they were everywhere
E. Bluebird - all about, lotsa pretty little bluebird songs
Only shorebirds at Bucksport were the omnipresent Killdeer.
Bunch of butterflies, too.
Chinaberry, wild plum, henbit blooming.
Cheers,
gary
