Spring continues to slowly creep into the northeastern piedmont. The past
several days have seen the following arrivals in and around the Cary area:
Louisiana Waterthrush- multiple birds at Hemlock Bluffs and at Swift Creek
Bluffs
White-eyed Vireo
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
Barn Swallow
Purple Martin females at the Olde South Road colony
Yellow-throated Warbler
I have an eye out for Solitary SP, this is the latest they have been since
I started keeping notes a few years back. Any around?
Best,
