Stopped by Johnston road ext today after work and was lucky to find
two barred owls out hunting at 3pm- evidently hungry youngens around.
Most hightree birds were gold finches and yellow rumps with many blue
gray gnatcatchers.
Five great blue heron nests were still visible and active. A lone palm
warbler was a treat. Also had barn swallows on nest under 485 bridge.
Sharpie and red shoulder hawks kept everything moving. No waterthrushes
yet
