Hi Carolinabirders,
Finally had a hummingbird at my front feeder. Presumably a female
Ruby-throat. Very green back, length of bill about twice that of width
of head, niticeable white at the corners of the tail, end of primaries
in line with end of tail, white tear drop at back of eye.
She really chowed down sipped from the feeder port about 5 times.
My first one last year was also a female about this same time.
Have a shrimp plant about to bloom so this should bring her around a
lot, maybe bringing her mate.
With apologies to Gary, WOOHOO
