During the colder months I make what I call peanut butter "suet" loaves. I
melt chunky peanut butter and lard together in the microwave and stir in a
bunch of corn meal and some raisins, then put it in mini loaf pans and pie
tins and refrigerate to mold them. Bluebirds love it (as does everyone
else). Works great in cold/cool weather, but doesn't hold up in the heat.
Sometimes I also split it up and add oats, sunflower seed (no shell), peanut
hearts, and/or white millet to half of it, whatever I've got kicking around
at the time.
