Hilton Pond 06/15/02 (Trumpet Creeper)

HI . . .

If you like hummingbirds and/or wildflowers, you'll enjoy the current
installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond."

Just visit the Web site for Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural
History and click on the week of 15-21 June 2002 at
http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek020615.html . There you'll find a
photo essay about Trumpet Creeper, the "amazing hummingbird vine."

As always there's a weekly account of all birds newly banded at
Hilton Pond during the week, as well as original banding dates for
birds that were recaptured.

We'd also like to thank Rusty Trump of Suwanee, Georgia for sending
his photos of an adult Giant Leopard Moth and the pupa from which it
came. We've added them to last week's essay at
http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek020608.html .

Please forward this message to folks you know who share our interest
in nature. :-)

Happy Nature Watching!
