Caw Caw Park Ravenel, SC birdwalk



The following are highlights of the morning birdwalk at Charleston County's
Caw Caw Park in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am.

July 27, 2002

65 species were seen and/or heard.  The most interesting were; 8 Glossy
Ibis, 5 Wood Storks, 1 Mississippi Kite, 2 Swallow-tailed Kites, 2
Semipalmated Plovers, 8 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 3 Solitary
Sandpipers, 1 Spotted sandpiper, 15 Least Sandpipers, 40 Pectoral
Sandpipers, 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 3 Belted Kingfishers, 1 White-breasted
Nuthatch, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 2 Louisiana Waterthrushes, 4 Blue Grosbeaks,
5 Indigo Buntings, 3 Painted Buntings, and 2 Orchard Orioles.
