Congaree Bluff HP hawkwatching drop-in

Given that Mississippi Kite migration has already begun, Robin Carter and I
are again in search of volunteers to man the hawkwatch at Congaree Bluff
Heritage Preserve. To that end, there will be a "drop-in" training
workshop for hawkwatching at Congaree Bluff Heritage Preserve this
Saturday, 3 August 2002. I will be there from 10:00 am until it is too hot
to stand outside anymore or the afternoon thunderstorm drives us out. I'll
be there until at least 2:00 pm. Come whenever you like; leave whenever
you like; pick up a few facts on hawkwatching and the nuts who stand
bareheaded in the sun of August and September (and October and November)
for the sake of monitoring the passage of raptors.
