Re: Christmas CBC's

Dear Tom Joyce and all past and future Christmas birders,

I agree with much of what Harry Legrand said, but I urge all Carolina
birders to continue to support the Christmas
count. I have been on one or the other in South Carolina
since 1979 and I will be there this year, also. Last year
I did all 5 coastal counts in SC and had a blast.

So what if the magazine is lousy, it's about conservation and the JOY of
birding. Even NAS hasn't killed that for me. Hope I see all my old friends
out there again this winter.

For the birds,
Steve Compton
Former Complier
Charleston,SC Count
