Lake DTH shorebirds

Briefly birded the upper end of Don T. Howell reservoir (what is left of it)
along Hwy 136 and found a surprising variety of shorebirds including:

Killdeer
Lesser Yellowlegs
Least Sandpipers
Spotted Sandpipers

In spite of the heat, all of the above were actively foraging as were Great
Egrets and several GBH's.

Let us hope and pray for rain,

Eric Harrold
