north asheville arrivals

At Beaver Lake this morning, I saw both orioles, many catbirds, several
yellow warblers, a Green Heron, a Common Loon, and still a few
White-throated Sparrows. I didn't detect a Warbling Vireo, however. The
orioles were most easily observed just west of the boat ramp.

Back home a couple of miles away, a female Scarlet Tanager foraged in the
big oaks near our house, and a Cerulean Warbler sang persistently, but I
never got a look at it before I had to leave.
