hello y'all,
Saw the Fulvous Whistling-ducks in Mullet Pond at Huntington Beach State Park
yesterday eve ~5:30. They were hunkered down in the edge of the cattails on the
back side, and took about 20 mins. to find. The Bald Eagle perched in the pines
probably helped keep them in/near cover.
Saw the Gray Kingbird at Pawleys Island about 11:00 this a.m. This is
unquestionably the "easiest" bird I've chased. The bird was flycatching from
the powerlines across from the tennis courts just south of the intersection
where South Causeway comes onto the island.
woohoo!
