Hi folks,
(This bounced back yesterday due to a bad e-mail address... so sorry it's
late)
My better half (Tracey) had audio and visual of a Connecticut Warbler in the
bottomland swamp of the Savannah River Site (Barnwell County, SC) early
yesterday. This added to the one I had last year in the uplands, and the one
she had a few hundred meters from yesterday's in '01 (almost to the day)
makes me think that the Savannah River swamp (or perhaps along the fall
line) is a "good" area for this speices in spring migration. I went down to
look for it this morning but didn't find it (We thought it might go into
one of the nets she's using in her study... the '01 bird hung out for
several days [or there were several]. Also in '01 a Golden-wing she saw on
one day was in the net the next... so there's hope).
I did have a Magnolia Warbler, N. Waterthrush and 13 other species of
warbler.
