More on Tanagers

Don't mean to go overboard describing the Tanagers
but thought it was fun seeing that a female has joined
the male at the orange suet and he's feeding her.

I think one of the reasons that this suet cage is attractive
to birds other than clinging birds is because of how it's
set up. The cage hangs from a long hook on a pole
that has a raccoon baffle on it. The top end of the baffle
is almost level with the suet cage, probably making it
more inviting to other birds. The Pine Warblers use it a
lot also. The female Tanager was perched on the baffle
as the male fed her.
