Can someone who knows the how's and wherefores of the Eurasian Collared
Doves in North America tell us a little about just how they came to be on
this continent (was it a deliberate or accidental introduction or did they
wing it on their own?). Just last week I walked throught the old town
section of Beaufort in search of the White WInged Doves which are alleged
to be there, adn although I neither saw nor heard any White Wings I did
see at least a dozen Collared within about ten blocks.
Does anyone knwo if White Winged Doves are still in Beaufort?
Shantanu
