The following are highlights of the 3 hour birdwalk at Charleston county's
Caw Caw Park on US highway 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at

68 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day. The most interesting were;
1 Pied-billed grebe, 1 Least Bittern, 1 Yellow-crowned Night Heron, 20+ Wood
Storks, 5 Mississippi Kites, 1 Swallow-tailed kite, 3 Red-shouldered Hawks,
2 Red-tailed Hawks, 4 Black-necked Stilts, 1 Spotted Sandpipers, 10
Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 12 Wood Pewees, 3 Acadian Flycatchers, 2 Willow
Flycatchers, 1 Eastern Kingbird, 1 Wood Thrush, 1 Yellow-throated Vireo, 10+
Parula Warblers, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler, 3 Pine Warblers, 5 Prothonotary
Warblers, 5 Summer Tanagers, 1 Indigo Bunting, 5 Painted Buntings, and 4
Orchard Orioles.
