dead thrush

Esther spotted a dead bird under a tree in our front yard today. It was a
Catharus thrush, most likely a Swainson's, judging from the buffy color of
the face. The bird looked in good condition except for a wound on its
back.

I'd judge a cat got it, except all my friends whose cats run loose tell me
their cats never kill birds. Aiiee.
