Came across a Red-tailed Hawk perched in a dead tree intently watching a
cutover area. A mockingbird spent several minutes flying back and forth
close to the hawk's head. I observed no movement from the hawk to indicate
it even realized the mockingbird was there, though the hawk must have known.
Mockingbird even perched on the same branch, though about 5 feet or so away.
Only other sighting of note here was a Loggerhead Shrike in the usual
location at the lane.
