A small group of us birded Glenn Hilton park in Hickory this morning. We
had 44 species including N. Parula, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Blackburnian,
and Black-throated Green Warblers, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak,
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Blue-headed and White-eyed Vireos. Sparrows included
White-throated, Swamp, and Song. On the way home, we went by Lovelady boat
access on Lake Hickory and had a female Bufflehead swimming with 3 Coots.
The Red Phalarope was still not seen and is most likely gone.
