RE: RFI Charlotte, NC

Hi, Carolinabirders,

Thanks so much to Lisbet Stockman, Jeff Pippen, Louise Barden and
Harrol Blevins (Harrol from a more northerly location on the
New River) for the information about the Charlotte area.

Our children were here over the long weekend for the first time
since their move from San Francisco, so I was able to print out
your messages for them, too. Maybe, just maybe, they can scout
out some of the places you so kindly sent information about.

I am glad to find there are so many places to bird and with the
old DeLorme of NC I have had for a long time, I should be able
to find birds. A triple of years ago, on November 2, 1997,
I had the great wonder of finding 1,000 Tundra Swans, duly
recorded on videotape at Lake Mattamuskeet, and needless to say,
I have ever since thought of the Carolinas as a birding wonderland.

Many thanks, again.

Barbara
