Henderson County Update

Folks,
I birded Hooper Lane today between periods of rain and sleet. Once
again, the Short-eared Owl was very cooperative, and made some very
wonderful flights, and perched on some equipment lending some great views.
Also present are American Pipits, Lapland Longspurs, Savannah Sparrows,
Great Blue Herons, and Northern Harriers.
Yesterday, Marilyn Westphal reported that she had a Hooper Lane
high, 13 Lapland Longspurs. These birds are reasonably easy to see in the
field located at the corner of Jeffress Rd. and Hooper Lane. It is the
grass field with fresh liquid manure on it.

Regards,
