HBSP on 2/20

Hi y'all,
Checked the causeway and carriage path (with a brief look at Sandpiper
pond) at HBSP today with a pair of birding friends from Tenn. Of the 61 spp.
observed, most notable were C. Moorhen, Tree Swallow, an imm. Bald Eagle,
and a pair of accipiters playing sky tag over the back of the Mullet pond.
An ad. Black-crowned Night-Heron was visible sleeping in the grass in the
saltmarsh, while an imm. was situated such that it looked to be standing on
a gator's back at the edge of the Mullet pond.
Got home and spied one of Mr. Cooper's hawks sneaking thru the trees; no
doubt looking for a plump, tasty goldfinch or sparrow snack.
