A Saturday trip to Donnely Wildlife, Bear Island, and
Bennett's Point resulted in Susan and I seeing 65
different birds. The usual gang plus:
Bald Eagle
Greater and Lesser Scaup
Sharpshin
Ring Neck Doves
Avocets
Ring Neck Ducks
Mallard
Tundra(Whistling) Swans
Pine Warbler
Pintails
Ruddy Ducks
Canada Geese
Kestral
Red Tail Hawk
Red Shoulder Hawk
The usual waders
Grebes, Pie-billed
Woodies
Rumps
We missed most of the woodpecker family and the ground
birds such as the thrushes. Also, the swallows were
nowhere to be found. Could have been a 75 bird day if
the others had been in view.
