Today was a day for staying at home, watching the birds, and figuring out
how to handle a new squirrrel problem. I'm still working on the last part.
Among the 20 species of permanent residents and winter birds that showed
up today was a pine siskin. It stayed a few minutes to gobble sunflower
seed and then headed elsewhere. Winter is still with us for another day.
