Re: RUHU ODE (a response)

'Tis sad but true,
That I must admit.
The hummer named Rufous,
My feeders has quit.

Yes, far to the West,
My little pal, he has flown.
Driven by forces,
To mere humans unknown.

But to more pressing matters,
My friend should attend.
Rather than tarry in luxury,
Here days on end.

Yet returns one in eight,
Have been stated as fact.
So in this I'll take solace,
There's a chance he'll be back!

Conway's RUHU has left the scene,
How could he be so thoughtless and mean?
Gary says, OK you've left the boat,
You can be replaced by a rubythroat.

Yet in Brevard, our RUHU remains serene Others may leave for the Western
dream,
But our guy's wary about such flight,
Why should I leave when I'm fed just right

I really don't care for Rocky Mtn. snow,
So, it just isn't time for me to go.
My frequent flyer miles will still apply
When I decide to leave in mid-July.
