Hi Carolinabirders,
This afternoon I went to do some butterflying along New Road. I also of
course noted some birds and since I was so close was compelled to look into
the Conway Sewage Ponds. New Road and the Conway Sewage Ponds are located
near Conway in Horry County, SC. 22 species.
Double-crested Cormorant-2
Great Egret-2
Snowy Egret-1
Little Blue Heron-4 including one that was in the callico plumage and two
white immatures
Green Heron-2
Killdeer-20
Spotted Sandpiper-2
Forster's Tern-1
Least Tern-3
Black Tern-4
Mourning Dove-6
Red-headed Woodpecker-1
Barn Swallow-1
Blue Jay-1 heard only
Carolina Chickadee-1 heard only
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-1 heard only
Common Yellowthroat-1 heard only
N. Cardinal-2 heard only
E. Towhee-1 heard only
Red-winged Blackbird-5
