Birders,
Ninety minutes of late afternoon birding along the Shepherd Nature Trail
in Duke Forest in Durham today (Saturday, 23 Sep 00) produced some fun
birds. Among the highlights were:
1 Great-crested Flycatcher
2 White-eyed Vireo
3 Swainson's Thrush
1 Wood Thrush
1 N. Parula
3 Chestnut-sided Warbler
2 Magnolia Warbler
1 Black-throated Blue Warbler
3 Pine Warbler
2 Black-and-white Warbler
3 American Redstart
1 Worm-eating Warbler
2 Common Yellowthroat
1 Canada Warbler (rare here)
2 Scarlet Tanager
1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak
